Do not enter.
Do not open.
Do not acknowledge.
That applies to more than a door.
There are conversations, people,
problems and situations that have
no business entering your space.
Everything that finds its way to
you doesn’t deserve a response,
especially when you already know
the energy attached to it.
I’ve learned to listen to my intuition.
When something feels off,
I don’t need to go searching for proof.
I pay attention to that feeling
and start pulling away.
And somewhere in the middle of pulling away,
things usually start revealing themselves.
A disagreement happens and
somebody says a little too much.
Someone gets caught doing something
they had no business doing.
Boom.
There’s your confirmation.
No investigation. No digging.
No chasing behind people trying
to figure out what they’re doing.
Their own hands get exposed.
Sometimes what comes to light is
that people were talking among themselves
the entire time they had what little
access you allowed.
Then once the access is gone,
They still talk.
The difference is now they don’t
actually know anything.
And chances are, the people they’re
gossiping with don’t know anything either.
Misery likes company.
The funny thing about that kind of company
is they usually do the same thing to each other.
They’ll sit together talking about everybody,
then turn around and talk about each other.
They fall out.
Get back together.
Talk some more.
That’s when you realize they may
actually be exactly where they belong
Together.
What I don’t understand is connecting
back to people who don’t like you.
You don’t like me.
You don’t like my spouse.
You’ve spoken on our family
and even our children.
Okay.
Stand on your business.
Because where are your morals
when you can secretly have all of
that to say about somebody and
still reach out for help?
No.
Some people don’t value the person.
They value what the person
can do for them.
Users.
Opportunists.
And when something happens in their life,
suddenly there’s urgency.
They need help.
They need something.
And because they’re going through it,
they expect everybody else to
feel the same urgency.
Your life drama isn’t my concern.
I don’t need it and you around me.
Sometimes the enemy will try
to bring something back
through a different door.
A conversation.
A problem.
Another person.
A sudden sense of urgency.
Don’t automatically receive
it because they’re family.
Some things can stay exactly
where they came from.
No hate.
No revenge.
No need to expose anybody.
I just want to be left alone.
No trespassing.
Whatever you’re carrying now,
later, or whatever,
don’t bring near or around me.
My silence speaks volume.
And so does my boundaries.
If you still can’t respect that,
that’s a personal issue within yourself.
Don’t make it mine.
This is your safe space.
You’re always welcome here.
